Be Nice.

To quote my parents:
"If you can't say something NICE
then don't say anything at all."

So today I'll just leave it at that.

Motionless

Today I'm kinda just
"Going through the Motions"

I can't pinpoint why.
But apparently
it's obvious because
The Lifeguard
called to see if I needed
rescuing

I told him I loved him.
and then I re-read the
Valentine
he gave me yesterday.

I drove Dill to school.
I know we only live like
20 steps
away but I always drive him
because it makes
me WAKE UP!

Then I prayed
... yes, still in my car.
I always pray there
in the morning.
Why waste the heated seats?

Then I showered followed
by putting on my
"old woman robe".
Some people think it's pathetic
but I LOVE it!
I requested it for a gift
and it's divine.
Don't judge me.

After zipping up
"old woman",
I had my breakfast.
I expect the sugar crash
to hit about 3:00 pm because
I had the same thing for
snack-time and lunch.

After breakfast I put on my
make-up but only half way,
leaving on the splotches.
I don't care.

Then I did my hair with my new blow dryer.
which is RED and I love.
But my hair hates it...
it leaves one side under
and one side flipping.

Then I shaved my
fingers and toes.
Am I the only one doing this?
I thought about
painting the toenails
then I said "naw"...
out loud.

However, I'm not sure if it was
actually out loud or not
because there are
voices in my head saying...

"Go back to bed!
It's warm there.
It's comfy there.
Go... Go... Go!"

I'm not going but
I would if
the Life Guard was here
to watch some
chick flick with me,
 like The Proposal
I love that movie, don't you?

TANGENT KRISTA!!  Get off the tangent!
Okay!  Okay!

Anyway, I'm not going to bed.
I did a little laundry
but I haven't folded it yet
cause then I have to
put it away
and that's the worst part.

Speaking of laundry...
I bought Jeff and I some
new whites
I thought to myself,
"Our boys get new unders every school year.
Why are the adults on a
5 year rotation plan?"

I probably shouldn't have shared that.

Then I shined some
mirrors.
It was a random job.
Hummm...
wonder what MOVED
me to do it.

In case you were wondering,
I did not and
will not weigh myself.
PLEEEEZE!
I may be motionless
 but I'm not INSANE!

Because not only,
did I have that above mentioned "breakfast"
my mom dropped these by ...

Would I then be nutty enough to ask
"Should step on the scales?"
Definitely NOT!

Then I read.
The Lord sent me
a message.
I'm listening.

Then I read
my Valentine
again
and smiled
AGAIN.

And so you know,
don't think Valentines
(or singles awareness day)
means you have to spend
an arm and a leg...
my envelope is
PRICELESS.

Speaking of priceless...
Someone mentioned me in
one of their blog posts.
I'm SMILING
again thinking about it.

Okay... Okay...
Get OFF the tangent.
I hear you yelling!
I'm going!

Now friends, don't call me!
I'm not depressed!
I'm taking a time out.
I'm living motionless.

After all, I deserve to be
because yesterday I did
the stupidest thing EVER!

I gave FROZEN lemonade
for Valentines.
Do you know what that means?
NO PREP TIME!
You have to wrap a few ... and deliver.
Wrap a few more ... and deliver.
Wrap a few more ... get the idea?

And do you have any idea
how many
neices and nephews
there are?
TOO MANY
to be giving
frozen Valentine to!

And because of that,
there was no steak dinner
by candlelight!

It was Casa Del Ray,
which made Jeff sick
and I felt bad for him.

And now I feel even worse
because he loves
his sister's sugar cookies
and now there's only
ONE left
due to my
breakfast and lunch.

Heck, no wonder I'm
motionless.
Maybe I'll just stay that way.
Maybe I'll sit in the chair.
Maybe I'll grab a blankie.
Maybe I'll read a book.

But really...
 what will I read?

I just finished
The Hunger Games
and can anything really beat that?

Or maybe...
I'll make some
cookies
and fold the
laundry
and finish my
make-up!

Or maybe...
I'll listen to those voices in my head
"Go!  Go!  Go!"

My Dentist is 17.

Today I went to the
DENTIST

I walked in the office to find that he is just a
TEENAGER
You don't believe me?
Well, I have the pictures to prove it!

See...
 Dr. Allred is only
17 years old.

He plays baseball at
Grantsville High.
I saw him play like, just yesterday.

If you don't believe me,
Tyson can vouch for it
because that's him
in the picture too.

If you need further proof...
Dillon was there too.
He had a nice toasty bath
before we left for the game.

And really,
those eyes don't lie!

So what the heck?!
Since when can 17 year old kids practice dentistry?

And since when is it legal to let
these 2 little boys into
dental and eye school?

Can't the world see all they
really care about is cheering for
Karl Malone?

Speaking of, maybe I'll watch
Stockton & Malone tonight while
I rock that baby with the big eyes
or...
 does that baby have
GHS baseball practice?

I forget!
(Have I mentioned I'm 40?)

But seriously,
Thanks
Bubba
for a great and
painless dental visit.

Do NOT comment!

I used to have this flashy blinkie on my blog...

but, by my own conscience, I had to remove it.

It was a sad day because
COMMENTS
really do make me
most happy.

But alas,  I had to take
a hard look in the mirror.
(frightening, I know)
That was when I realized
I was asking to
RECEIVE something
I don't GIVE.

Every, single day I check YOUR blog
and do I ever leave a comment?
It's not that I don't enjoy...
It's not that I don't laugh...
It's not that I don't  relate...
It's not that I don't love U...

It's just that...
GEESH!  I don't even get why.
but apparently Blogger "gets it".

Look at the bottom of this post and see
what they invented for our lazy bones.

  • No need to think up a comment.
  • No need to make sure your spelling is correct.
  • No need to do anything.
  • Just click what reaction
    fits you best

"LOL!" ... "Thanks!" ... "Love Ya!"

So there you go, it's easier than looking in the mirror!
If you want to know how I set up this handy-dandy tool, leave me a comment because afterall ...

The things you learn when...

you FOCUS!

Since Christmas I've had a hard time focusing.
Everyone has told me it's the weather.
However, my family doesn't care about the weather.
They just want to stop going to school naked and
having to gnaw on the furniture to avoid starvation!
(OK, so I exaggerated! But you get the idea)

In light of that,
my only focus today was to...

I was surprised with all the things
I learned...

White clothes love hot water.

If you stop to help someone, the Lord gives you more time.

It was a dang woman who brought on the demise of the Jaredites. (Ether 8:17)

Always look closely in the mirror before leaving the house.

Hildi's is closed today because Hildi went to the Trade Show.

I should drop by my dad's office more often.

The Dry Cleaner knows my name but I don't know hers.

You can purchase an empty honey bear.

Everyone in the world fills their prescriptions where I do.

Everyone in the world seems to have a prescription to fill.

May favorite treat is still available to purchase.

Everything is smaller but, oddly, more expensive.

It is fun to chat with someone who obviously knows you, but whom you have no idea who they are.

Candy by the cash register is punishment for everyone.

People who've been in love for over 50 years are the sweetest to each other.

The shopping cart corrals are few and far between.

Wild and scary animals live in the fields next to the road.

Mom likes it when I call.

Teenagers aren't interested if you didn't look in the mirror and went shopping with
no make-up on.

Church basketball is the most violent sport ever played.

So, my FOCUS experiment turned out.
The whites are white.
The children are fed.
The deep fryer is returned to it's deep, dark hiding place.
***Note: Leaving the deep fryer on the counter for 5 days
does NOT lead to a healthy heart or smaller pants!

I'll leave you with
the most beautiful thing I learned while
"Focusing on Focusing "
...............
Sunshine is good
for the Soul!!
