Maybe Tomorrow...

I can't bring myself to do much of anything today.
It's due to the fact that my son has a broken heart...
therefore, mine is broken too.

Saturday was the first round of the Baseball State Tournament
We'd earned the home field advantage. It was truly
A BIG DAY in a SMALL TOWN.

The excitement of Tyson hitting 2 Homeruns
was overshadows by the loss of 2 close games
and the season coming to an end.

We will forever love the seniors boys who lead this team to believe they could do ANYTHING. They came together and formed friendships that will last far beyond today or tomorrow... but will last forever.

Thanks to Coach for a great season.
He made this team into a FAMILY
and we love him for it.

Thanks to his sweet wife
for giving him to all of us.

As hard as today is...
I hope that someday these boys will realize that
THEY were THE ONE'S
to put Cowboy Baseball
back on the map!

THEIR efforts
will change things in this small town for years to come.

I'm proud of you Tys.
And to Ryley, Benji, Alex, Jake and TJ ... Thanks.

We too are feeling the pain of heartbreak. I don't think it is any easier for us even if we don't have a "kid" on the team. The team accomplished something great this season, Region Champs, and that can never be taken away even by the pain of heartbreak.

-Tyson you are such a great example to my little boys and you will probably never know how much they look up to you. Sometimes while I'm playing ball with them they take turns being you. Thanks for being someone that they can look up to.

I was proud of the way Tyson battled to the end. It is tough losing that last game of the season, especially when you put so much hard work, heart and effort into it.

Ty, you will look back on these days with a lot of great memories. The lessons that you are learning today will help you more than you know, throughout the rest of your life. Take the passion that you have developed (and will continue to develop) in sports and apply it to whatever you do, and you will be successful (even though there will be disappointments along the way)!

I am so sorry for Tyson's heartache. Scott always says that bad things can happen to good people and it is how we respond to those bad things that makes all the difference in our lives. The Lord gives us challenges and it is our job to figure out what He wants us to learn from these tough experiences and grow from them. Our prayers are with you.

It's easy to be a winner... it's hard to lose when you are a winner... but the strength and growth comes in getting through the disappointments in life. Hold your head proud for being the best you could be! And... one person's disappointment is another person's "tender mercy"... as much as we would have loved the cowboys to win... we are gauranteed some of Collin's sweetest friends will be at his Temple session come Saturday. So.... it is a bitter / sweet time for our family. Love to you. c & c Jefferies
