His Field ...

Later that day
we sat on the banks
the Mississippi overlooking
the real field
we had
come 2000 miles to see...

Tyson's Field

Tyson had received a scholarship
offer
to play baseball at
ASHFORD
UNIVERSITY

I said absolutely NOT but Jeff, in his wisdom, said we needed to check it out.

Thus began our journey
2 days prior.

As we pulled up to the University, they were waiting for us.
Our hearts were pounding.
What in the heck were we doing?!
We were 20 hours from home for heaven's sake!!!

We were ... afraid.

Then it came.
I recognized it instantly.
I looked at Jeff.
I knew he felt it too.
I looked at Dill.
He smiled.

It was familiar feeling.
We knew who had sent it.

And in that very instant
we knew this was RIGHT.

We knew this was where
Tyson was suppose to be.

Tyson felt it too
but did not smile ... yet.

The thought of leaving was suddenly very real and as much as he loved baseball, he also loved home.

It was a
difficult decision for him.

However, the Lord knew these feelings would come
and He prepared the way.

One of Tyson's GHS coaches had just been transferred to Iowa.
A coach who loved Tyson.
A coach whom Tyson loved.

The distance between the 2 would only be 70 miles.
Coach Caf promised Ty he would be there whenever he needed him.

Tyson knew Caf would keep his promise.

Some would say this turn of events was "ironic"
but we know better.
We know the Lord knows all about FEAR.
He knows all about HOMESICKNESS.
He knows all about TYSON and has a plan him.

That's why he so clearly
paved the road
marked the path
sent the spirit
and on
July 6, 2010
Tyson signed.

Smiling!

Isn't it wonderful when we allow Heavenly Father to perform the miracles in our lives that are waiting for us. Just one more manifestation of His love for you and all of us.
