Tonight was Dillon's last league game. He got up to bat with the bases loaded and hit a homer over the two fences in Center Field! The four runs he brought in was all that was needed to end the game ... making the hit, a rare, WALK OFF GRAND SLAM! It was a fabulous way to end the regular season!
To top off the night, Hummer was chosen to play on the ALL-STAR Team. What an honor! I guess we will be playing ball for another month!
The night was wrapped up with dinner at Denny's ... hey, if you hit a GRAND SLAM, you've got to have the GRAND SLAM breakfast (for dinner). Right? Way to go Hummer! We're thrilled you've had such a great season!
