Meet my clock.
I searched high & low for it and I LOVE IT. It has kept me company for about a year but now it won't keep time. I have changed the batteries countless times. I have kissed it's gigantic hands and whispered "sweet nothings" into its pendulum. But alas... nothing. Any suggestions on how I can keep this love affair ALIVE?

You can buy a new mechanism. You may or may not be able to keep the existing hands. I think they sell those at craft stores, or you could get one from a clock repair shop. I'm not sure of the cost but you may have to decide how much ($) you really love your clock.
Also...I hear pickle juice helps.
