On a rare occasion, out of the clear blue sky

A HISTORICAL MOMENT

can take place right before your eyes.

In this place we call HOME

live 2 brothers...

One has always been

taller

and the other,

smaller.

One has always been our

first born

and the other, our

baby boy.

One has always done things

for the

first time

and the other,

the last.

And they've always

missed the mark

of being

together

by a measly... 

Can you believe they've

never attended the

same school?

They've never

been able to wear the

same clothes or shoes?

And, worst of all, they've

NEVER

played on

the same

team.

Then, out of the clear blue sky

that changed

when Dill was put in to run for the AA Legion Team.

He ran out to 1st base...

took off and rounded 2nd...

then slide into 3rd...

finally ran for home...

where, guess who, 

was waiting for him!

Ty offered up a high five,

smack on the behind and a

"nice run Hummer"!

I looked over at their dad.

 He looked at me.

Through the tears, we smiled.

For the first time ever...

they stood on the same field...

wearing the same uniform...

For the first time ever they were...
